SEGMENTAL BODY COMPOSITION

Monitors weight (kg, lb, st lb), BMI, whole body composition (whole body fat, muscle mass, water percentage, bone mass) plus fat and muscle mass for each body part independently (torso, arms and legs) to spot fat and muscle imbalances which can help the user take action that can help focus their efforts.

 

PULSE WAVE VELOCITY**

This metric measures the speed at which heartbeat generated waves move along the arteries. Lower Pulse Wave Velocity indicates better heart health and it can be lowered with proper diet & exercise to improve overall cardiovascular health.

6-LEAD ELECTROCARDIOGRAM*

The Electrocardiogram (ECG) can detect AFib, the most common cardiac rhythm disturbance, which, if left untreated, can lead to blood clots and is known to increase the risk for stroke, heart failure and other heart complications.

VASCULAR AGE

Estimates the age of your arteries to give a clearer picture of your heart health. A Vascular Age value that is equal or lower than your chronological age indicates better vascular health.

STANDING HEART RATE

Provides standing heart rate at every weigh-in so anyone can track the evolution of heart rate over time, a good indicator of overall cardiovascular fitness.

 

NERVE HEALTH SCORE**

Assesses the nerve health of the feet via a Nerve Health Score. A low score may be a sign of peripheral autonomic neuropathy, small nerve damage, which is associated with complications of common chronic conditions.
You can improve these metrics via our behavior change programs, and the Nerve Health Score data can be easily shared with doctors to help manage any health issues.

Does Body Scan feature a 6-Lead ECG?

Body Scan is compatible with Withings ECG Monitor. The ECG feature will be available following regulatory approval (Medical CE mark), which is expected at the end of 2022.

What's the difference between Body Scan and other Withings smart scales?

Body Scan is our most advanced smart scale to date. Simply by a simple weigh-in, users get access to the largest number of health biomarkers ever seen on a scale.

How many users can Body Scan support?

Body Scan automatically recognizes and tracks up to 8 users independently.

How long is the battery life?

Why is there a handle on the scale?

The handle allows the user to get much more accurate body composition measurements. It also enables segmental body composition for which users get fat & muscle mass of each body part: torso, legs and arms. The handle also contains the electrodes needed to record the 6-lead ECGs.*

What are the requirements for using Body Scan?

Users with pacemakers will not be able to access all features as bioimpedance technology (BIA) is used. For these users body composition and nerve activity assessments will be deactivated.
